So banning social media for under 16s is the magic pill that will save children from losing innocence, falling into addiction and falling prey to bullying, turning them into happy sportsplayers, musicians and avid readers of real books…What a hero!

Hey, Albo. Does our 'shared values' with the US mean you'll be kicking out Somalians from Australia, too? I'll be watching closely to see if any in the cabinet still use this phrase in your pressers. And hoping a plucky journo calls them out, referencing this video. #Auspol

The issue about killing the last 2 survivors is secondary: Trump and Hegseth have ordered *83* murders, not 2.
None of these people were ‘enemy combatants’.
They were suspected drug smugglers until proven to be guilty in a fair trial.
Without that, they were murdered.
That is all.

Seriously, is there actually ever going to be a point at which Australia genuinely distances itself from this rogue nation run by criminals posing as a government? They are disgusting, immoral, and we should have nothing to do with them while they remain such.
Not so much "likened" to a war crime as called out as the war crime it clearly is....and that's if you accept these strikes have anything to do with "war" in the first place as opposed to are simply the US committing murder.

A White House official said the general structure of the deal – under which other countries pay more for medicines or face punitive trade measures – was the model for talks with other nations.

No surprise there is such low trust in politicians!

It should be obvious by now that Albo is full of it. Banning social media platforms while not constraining gambling advertising is just another betrayal of expectations and common sense. The majority enjoyed by Labor derives from a panic over Trump lite Dutton, not Labor electoral genius. #auspol
"The important Labor factions—including the one to which Albanese is in thrall—are wholly owned subsidiaries of gambling & liquor interests, & Albanese will make any excuse, develop any distinction, make any specious argument to avoid doing anything at all about it."

Why our government protects gambling apps but bans TikTok
Australia’s social media restrictions on children were sold as decisive action on harm. But the policy risks becoming symbolic, unenforceable, and ultimately counterproductive.

The Trump administration claims “mass migration” is a threat to “Western civilisation”. But research shows migrants don’t commit crimes at disproportionate rates.
