A dragon floats above a waterfall, resembles a sunrise. In Chinese mythology, the Dragon Gate lies at the top of a legendary mountain. Koi swim upstream and attempt to reach the top of the waterfall. Few are brave or dedicated enough to make it, but the ones that do transform into dragons. Spirit Owl sticker. Surreal barn owl flying that appears to be unraveling at the edges in a trippy way.

Glad y'all are talking about the misconceptions people have about creatives & finances.

Anyone who thinks authors or artists are 'the rich' or 'class traitors' or whatever just because we want to be paid for our labor needs a serious reality check.

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.

2. It's rare for any creative, including writers, to be able to live solely off their creative income. Moreover, there is no correlation between the creative value of art and the income status of its creator. It's okay to have another gig to eat and pay bills and survive our capitalist hellscape.
