For those of you following me, but who aren't that familiar with what I do... Let me introduce you to a few home video releases I have contributed to lately. I do liner notes, commentaries, and visual essays. Sometimes I even show up on camera! I'm known for my knowledge of horror and TV movies!

For day 282 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I chose the sci-fi mystery Night Slaves, which features James Franciscus as a man who finds himself in a town where nothing is quite what it seems. Director Ted Post does it again! A slow burn chiller

I should maybe add he gave me this the other day too.

Funny how some people just get you.

Really glad you enjoyed it. I'm about to hop over to see your review... And yes, Akins is SO good in it. I loved seeing him as a lovelorn lead. He carries it.

For day 278 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I am going with the great 1973 cult classic Terror on the Beach, which stars Dennis Weaver as the head of a family dealing with a Manson Family like band of criminals while on vacation. Beautifully shot

I've been to the hotel they shot this at. It's now a boarding school, and much of it is the same. That giant fireplace and the banquet hall are so beautiful in person.

I know I've said this before, but the best part of any project I work on is the beginning, where I get to watch movies/TV and read about people, productions, theory, etc.

I'm such a workaholic tho that I consider this part as taking a break. :P

For day 277 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I chose In the Shadows, Someone's Watching (aka With Harmful Intent) from 1993. Someone in a quaint suburban enclave is running over children in a twisted act of revenge. Joan Van Ark...Rick Springfield!

Any suggestions for the 650th review on Hysteria Lives!? Has to be a slasher (or related) or Giallo or similar. :)

For day 275 of my year long retrospective on made for TV movies that need a DVD/Blu Ray release, I chose the eerie 1971 mystery A Howling in the Woods, which features Barbara Eden returning to her family's hometown only to find her father missing and a creepy howling that breaks out in the night

Honestly, the world is going to shit, and I'm very depressed about it. But they can't take Rich Men, Single Women away from me, and that counts for something.
