My goal last year was to read 15 books and I finished 14 (and am currently part way through about 6…) so I consider that a win! 📚 I think my absolute favourites were Slaughterhouse Five and There Are Rivers in the Sky - couldn’t put either of them down and the commentary is 👌
Super important books.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

Strongly believe every writer, organisation, creator, social media account, enterprise, etc, should make a clear, public and legally binding statement on the extent of their AI and GenAI usage and policies. Also AI content should be flagged and moderated like sponsored content on social media.

Finished There Are Rivers in the Sky by #ElifShafak last month and let me tell you - haven’t been so hooked that I couldn’t even put it in the car by the end of a book for so long. Harrowing. Brilliant. Thought-provoking. Fascinating. Incredibly well-researched. Loved it.

We need food security, insulated homes, and cheap renewable energy.
UK food inflation is being driven by climate change-induced extreme weather, driving up price of butter, milk, beef, chocolate & coffee
