finally wrote that blog post, in which i argue that "people will lie about using AI for coding" is not a good reason to allow people to use AI for coding:

in a Rust/tokio discord channel, today's part as a notepad screenshot because characters:

Sure it works if you compile this on Linux for Linux.
But my ansible was compiling on the host machine and then copying the result into the Linux VM.

I've spent so many hours trying to get that to work (also with Nix). It doesn't really work.
It's a super annoying part of developing any web service with Rust.

maybe what happens is your ansible set-up cross-compiles with a different glibc version
but we cannot know for sure, because from what I saw yesternight, you used bsgen/c to produce the configuration?

Really work would mean you just set the target architecture and recompile without any configuration fiddling.
I don't even know what that is.
