Overgrazing at the turn of the 19-20th Century caused huge land degradation with resultant herd dieoff from reduced resources. It caused downcut washes and river bank collapse and the land (Cochise County, AZ) still bears marks of it today. This is a boondoggle like all of his 'ideas'.

This is not to justify what the west did. Opium Wars were morally abhorrent and the west did attempt to partition china. But PRC use "century of humiliation" to blame the west entirely for a period of decline in china and deflect from China's own massive failures/internal conflicts at the time

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.
