Heard that ICE is at the Shattuck Hospital in JP. Fuck those fuckers

If you go home with somebody and it turns out they work for ICE or CBP, don't fuck them. Instead, hogtie them with zip ties and leave them stranded in their own bedroom with their cellphone drowned in the toilet tank

Congestion pricing in NYC has worked and has become popular. Cities like Boston should follow.

After a year of the first American program of its kind, there’s enough data to recommend the idea.

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

My "It's not pedophilia; it's ephebophilia" t-shirt is raising a lot of questions answered by the T-shirt
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Just thinking again how Democrats asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

i’d also say that the GOP’s obsession with this gives candidates an opportunity to articulate and stand up for their values. “i refuse to make anyone feel like they don’t belong in my [state/city/community]. and i want everyone to live the best life they can achieve [insert policy slogan]”
I am taking particular pleasure in the complete collapse of trans-as-unbeatable-wedge-issue narrative this morning. It might be an 80-20 issue in voters minds, but it has to be on voters minds to matter. The results in VA demonstrate that it is very much not on voters minds.

Campaign sources confirm that Henry Santana will win the fourth spot in the at-large city council race, beating out Frank Baker, who'll finish fifth.

"City Councillor Henry Santana was overwhelmingly re-elected in a landslide," Mayor Wu just told a crowd gathered at Grace by Nia.

one of the reasons voters believe the caricatures of the democratic party pushed by republicans is because the democratic party itself believes in the caricatures of the democratic party pushed by republicans
Duh. Those of us on the ground last year actually speaking with middle class/working class voters and who heard from these voters every single day the same - “Trump is an asshole, but Democrats are out of touch” - could’ve saved my new political party a lot of time & money producing this “report.”👇
