Anyways if you feel like you can’t do anything to combat The Horrors, do small things in your local community. Work a few hours at a food bank or soup kitchen. Donate a few dollars to charities and orgs who help people. Doing good in small ways is still a net positive.

the best thing about having dealt with addiction in the past is i have no illusions about social media: it is a drug. we are all addicted. the people who deny this are rationalizing the way people with addictions do that. no shame, but that's what all this is.
