Your lowkey right but imo this is less a problem with the statement itself and more a problem w people tying together tech and art as an inseperable thing. Though they obv play into each other you can absolutely have 'bad' or primitive graphics and have striking art direction as well as the inverse.

Internet in general seems to inspire very all or nothing convos. Like yeah a movie or book isnt gonna save the world on its own but it doesnt *exist* on its own either. Thats like the whole point. Art was bever gonna stop vietnam or any big conflict but it sure as hell got people to notice and care
