Ian Hislop from @privateeyenews.bsky.social was spot on when he said people have become used, during last Tory governments, to change PMs at a blink of an eye. Next general election is in 2029. Unless dissolution of parliament is requested by sitting PM, and maybe other circumstances.

It's not just Jays, but Rooks are also agents of natural colonisation of woodland, dispersing and planting tree seeds that start off new woodlands. #rewilding
Lots of Rooks coming to the garden at the moment for the last of the acorns.
Each birds takes 5/6 away at one visit & then returns. The number of cached acorns in the surrounding fields must be enormous.
It's not only the Jay who is responsible for planting Britain's Oak Trees.

Biodiversity Without Borders is a newly established, non-profit company limited by guarantee, created around a principle that has guided my work for decades: biodiversity does not follow political, administrative, or institutional boundaries.

I’m pleased to share that Biodiversity Without Borders Ltd is now officially incorporated. 🌿

The idea behind it is simple: biodiversity doesn’t recognise borders — and neither should our efforts to understand and protect it.

How bizarre that @theguardian.com calls Belém a “small Amazonian city”.
One of the largest cities in northern Brazil and the capital of the state of Pará. The metropolitan area has over 2 million inhabitants, making it the eleventh largest in the country.
@tomphillips.bsky.social ,what do you think

@theguardian.com Hi,
I’ve been trying to send a pitch for response to your article on Nature Connectedness.
It’s not offensive, no swearing and just adding information.
For some reason I keep receiving a “message blocked” reply. I tried to send it as a 300 word letter but got the similar message.
