If Ukraine can turn off the lights in Russia it's a big deal. It will bring the war into Russians homes, it will show the world that Russia is not invincible, and it will hurt the already failing Russian economy more. It also shows the tide is turning. Ukraine is slowly but surely winning.
Blackout in Moscow: over 600,000 Russians are reportedly without power, according to Russian media. No official cause confirmed yet, but it follows earlier reports of a Ukrainian drone swarm targeting the region.

The only outcome that will be meaningful in a Ukrainian peace process at this point is the U.S. committing to a massive supply of all manner of weapons (drones in the east, bullets/mines/mortars in the north) and bolstering logistics hubs in Poland. Anything else plays into Putin’s hands.
