Labour are building genuinely affordable homes for local people 🏡

Last year more social rent homes were completed in Southwark than in any other London borough 🏗️

Meanwhile no Lib Dem councils in London managed to start building a single new social rent home ❌

Starmer’s response speaks to a real problem: transport costs make a lot of ppl’s lives harder than they need to be and many are forced into costly car dependence.

Only long term fix is to focus on providing ppl with transport choices (eg reliable, affordable and accessible public transport).

Very important line here from Transport Secretary Louise Haigh on road safety:

"We treat road safety in a way as if it is somehow a natural accident. If the number of people being killed or seriously injured on our roads, were being killed in any other way, we'd be treating it as a pandemic."
