PM Mark Carney is no fool. He knows he has to lay out his vision for the budget directly to Canadians in a rare prime time address tonight to get facts out before the Poilievre’s CPC spin cycle of lies and allegations goes into overdrive. Narrative dominance matters. #Cndpoli 🇨🇦

Watching the CLC NDP Leadership Forum at our local watch party tonight. Rob Ashton is not a polished, professional politician… This is not necessarily a bad thing. He has the strong lived experience of union leadership that appeals to many workers. #NDPLeadership

So here’s the thing: will the police EVER tell us whether this guy was a licensed gun owner?
They know right now. Why don’t they tell us?
Is it because it would run counter to the rank and file’s opposition to tougher gun control?

This should alarm everyone in Ontario. Our public hospitals are being drained of funding and staff to build a private, profit-driven system. We need to speak up now before universal care becomes a memory.
Doug Ford’s government isn’t “expanding access” — it’s hollowing out public hospitals and funnelling public dollars to private operators. Ontarians should be furious.

57 new private clinics in Ontario will take more than 100,000 diagnostic tests out of public hospitals- along with funding and staffing, with plans to expand to do surgeries. This government is essentially building private day hospitals, shifting hundreds of millions in public funding over to them.

The Tony Blair Institute is heavily backed by Larry Ellison & was “involved in plans to create a new ‘Trump Riviera.’” That vision “envisages creating a ‘blockchain registry for land’ to underpin the construction of up to 8 ‘AI-powered, smart planned cities on the inner side of the Gaza Ring.“ …1/

Documents show Tony Blair’s Ellison-funded institute designed Gaza’s recovery plan on data-driven lines echoing Oracle-Palantir war systems.

COLLINS: The NYT is reporting your legal team is seeking $230 million from your own DOJ now in response to the investigations into you. Is that something you want?

TRUMP: It could be, yeah. I don't even talk to them about it. All I know is they would owe me a lot of money. They rigged the election.

🧵 Across the world, democracy isn’t just under pressure, it’s facing epistemic collapse: a breakdown in the shared ability to know what’s true, to reason together and to hold power to account.

A new guest paper by @eliothiggins.bsky.social and @drnataliemartin.bsky.social explores how to fix it.

Fetterman hired that Asian college girl to run the most progressive campaign I’ve ever seen since honestly Obama’s 2nd run. And did so because he knew the optics and not his voting record or actual ACTIONS would secure him the seat

And what did he do once he won? Flipped Republican in all but name
I agree. It’s great that he had a change of heart or whatever but he can’t be in office. The vibe is screaming Sinema and Fetterman.

Good advice for Canada as well.
Canadians should note that Carney’s axing of the Digital Services Tax is exactly the type of action the article warns against as a fundamental surrender of national sovereignty in a key economic policy area.
