Added some paintwork, and a new lightning weapon, electrocuting the player and slowing him down.

In the 20 years before #ruinsOfCalaworm I tried 5-6 times to make a game. Each was a failure. Then 2020 happened, and with suddenly much more alone time to deal with, I gave myself 1 last shot:
• Scope -90%
• Plague Doc as Player Char (obvious, duh)
Still took me 5 years to arrive at this point.🥹

• Mainly dark work today, prepping work on difficulty sliders; some logic fallacies to sort out.
• Added tons of random hints: Basic Tutorials compressed into short blurbs (displayed during region traversal, and on Signposts).
• Toggle Random Hints in settings.
• Reroll God moods.

• Yes, to some extent.
Not in coding, graphics or music, tho - latter 2 were paid commissions. ChatGPT was used for spellchecking, brainstorming, tutorials, and the odd story blurb. None of them were copy/pasted, tho, they all went through a thorough revision. 🥹

Cleaned up and streamlined some marginal mechanics - remnants of earlier days of development. Found 1-2 edge case bugs on the way, and fixed them as well. Some polish tweaks. Now, with finishing line approaching, I suddenly got a LOT of time on my hand for stuff like that.

Redid the dice as 32x32, for cleaner display. Now might as well put them to use ...
In #ruinsOfCalaworms there's these "Resolve Rolls" for various stuff, and this is exactly what the game is doing behind the curtain: it's rolling!

Barely any vertical progress today, cuz I found a bug in procGen, which I had to prioritize. Was nothing serious, but definetely sth. you would notice.
But got the Wisteria-situation resolved, and revisited some Tutorials, rewording them for more clarity + playtesting.
