For this week's drawings, I decided to draw Winona Ryder, who I saw in many movies as a kid. I also have seen her in Stranger Things.

For this week's drawings, I decided to draw comedian and actress Aisling Bea, who I think I first saw on 8 Out of 10 Cats.

If you’ve never seen the comic, here it is:
Far Side single-panel cartoon by Gary Larsen. It shows two vaguely chimpanzee looking creatures on a branch. One is grooming the other, and pulls a light hair from his fur, saying “well, well— another blond hair… conducting a little more research’ with that Jane Goodall tramp?”

For this week's drawings, I decided to draw Robert Zemeckis, who directed Forrest Gump, Contact, and Castaway.

I also drew her as a Simpsons character. I wasn't too big of a fan of my first drawing, so I drew her again.

1/ A longtime Wired editor just wrote a mush-brained essay about how he totally missed the political rot of Silicon Valley (& still doesn't get it).

But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that

For this week's drawings, I decided to draw Ben Affleck, who I probably first remember seeing in Good Will Hunting or something from the early 2000s.

We already have 1000+ reasons to hate """artist""" James C Mulligan (see below), but it was extra enraging to see him stealing and taking credit for the work of actual Bambi artist and all-around Disney legend Tyrus Wong, so here's a mini Ted Talk 🧵

I’ve been rewatching the Coen Bros filmography this month and while drawing a Barton Fink illustration, it struck me how much their films feel like Far Side cartoons: funny, strange, clever, yet frequently inscrutable. Anyway here’s a thread!
An illustration of a scene from Fargo drawn in the style of the comic strip The Far Side: Marge encountering the wood chipper situation and exclaiming, “Oh Jeez.”
