If you are #Spurscurious, welcome!

If not, also welcome, but may I suggest muting the following words: Spurs, Tottenham, COYS, Ange, and Sonny.

This was, of course, an attack not just on the Obamas, but against all black people and all people of colour.

The message is that you can become president of the United States, and it won't change how we (racists) see you.

And phony excuses aside, you can't unring that bell.

Impeach him.

If Reynolds and Mac get Wrexham to the PL next season (or even the one after that), I can’t think of a more successful investment within that time period.

1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

Reminder that even as Donald Trump is posting horrifically racist videos portraying the Obamas as monkeys, Trump will always have a loyal fart-catcher in Ezra Levant.

The NDP is firmly in 'yikes' territory.

There is an interesting dynamic in Canada right now. The NDP is much stronger than the Liberals in many provinces, but is circling the drain federally.
With these numbers Carney can confidently put forward any legislation he likes because no party would dare bring down the government. #cdnpoli

Apropos of that Trump video — there is a reason why, when researching my book, I came to believe that Barack Obama's election was the moment when America's democratic crisis began.

It set off a racial backlash to civil rights that has been the defining force in our politics since.

Add another data point to the authoritarian rule side of the ledger.
New, from me: Trump finalized his Schedule F policy, allowing him to remove job protections from career civil servants.

The new rule is dishonest and unmoored from reality in its effort to formalize the politicization of the federal government 🧵

The icing on the Brexit cake will be electing Farage as PM. Europe will find it easy to say “no” to the UK over and over again.
🇪🇺 British officials fear that excluding the U.K. could lock its firms out of key supply chains and skew procurement decisions in favor of EU-based competitors.

🇬🇧 Britain needs Europe. We need deeper alignment with our largest market on goods and services.
