I’m not a political scientist but Labour’s decision to cut the electorate hundreds of times with small tax increases doesn’t seem like a great strategy, especially since it basically guarantees the electorate will be exhausted and pissed off when the inevitable income tax rise comes.

Again, DOGE is only a failure if you actually believe it’s goal was cost reduction.
DOGE is one of the greatest failures of the Trump administration. The next Democratic administration should pick up that issue and actually work to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse. I’d suggest starting by taking a look at Elon Musk’s government contracts.
