a lot of the mass politics around immigration is based on the misperception that immigration status is a legal category following the structure of criminal law—you only become "illegal" by intentionally violating a rule; this violation forfeits your rights.

Funny enough, back when inflation was raging he used to say lowering rates would cool inflation, because to him servicing his debt was always the biggest expense.

well this should be fun for British dual nationals
The change means you'll likely need to travel into/out of your other country of nationality on THAT passport, and into the UK on your UK one.

This often proves QUITE the problem for airline systems, which are usually set up to store only ONE passport number.

I initially reacted to this with fury. Then I thought wait, maybe the reporters (Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs, Hamed Aleaziz, Robin Stein and Haley Willis) tried to frame it as the Feds taking revenge and an editor got carried away? Nope. It’s just fascist propaganda top to bottom.

On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.

But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online.
