I met Ray Harryhausen at a film festival where I had just won a teen filmmaker award. He shook my hand, congratulated me, and was happy to hear I also made stop motion shorts (I had won for something else). Just a really nice guy!
Screw "never meeting your heroes." What were some times you met your heroes and they were super cool?

Here's the thing about GenAI, LLMs, whatever tf you want to call the tech.
There may've been reasonable ways to use it, but every one is nullified because:
1. They're trained off stolen work.
2. Running them is disastrous for the environmental.
No potentially beneficial use excuses either...

I had played the arcade game, I had read some of my dad's old issues but the first X-Men comic I picked up off a store shelf and read was X-Men #25. Every page of it is burned into my brain and it was pretty cool to see so much of it in animation today. X-Men '97 is great!

I always say you have to accept that if you structure your story correctly, a lot of people will see the ending coming. You’ll never surprise everyone, but that’s OK!
Making a totally unpredictable story is easy but making it coherent and narratively satisfying is really hard.
