Gosh, that’s embarrassing, but at least they didn’t do it on purpose
“Last May, as a groundswell built demanding public scrutiny of the Justice Department's records on Epstein, the agency ran into a problem: it had already destroyed its master copy of surveillance video from Epstein's final hours in the Metropolitan Correctional Center.”
Newly released documents show the FBI's scramble to explain last year why it released a screen recording with a missing minute from the night Jeffrey Epstein died, instead of the original footage.

So DOD risked civilian airspace to obliterate some fucking balloons; when FAA found out and asked them to stop they refused; FAA did what it had to keep people safe; when the public rightly freaked out, DOD relented, lied, and blamed the FAA.

Sounds like Hegseth!

Once again: people are angry for very good reason, and this brand of post is perhaps one of the most tedious and bewildering. Practically every social media platform is rabidly pro-‘AI’ so are govts, academia, companies. This one small space being critical of AI is okay, I think.

Get to the store early, folks — new Vertigo is coming in hot.
Lots of end of day requests for Bleeding Hearts #1. Enough that I was compelled to order more before leaving for the day & every cover is back ordered. If you like @denizcamp.bsky.social, if you're curious about the new DC Vertigo, OR Vertigo was your trusted brand of choice, get on it if you can!

We always say these websites are machines designed to show you the worst things in the world, but let us never forget that real live ostensibly-capable-of-thought people hitting "quote tweet" are the critical part of the machine that makes it work that way.
i love it when a big account platforms some random asshole and starts a whole conversation about them when i, and everyone else, could have just never known who that asshole was.

Tomorrow's a big day at the comics shop for me. There are major releases from all three imprints I oversee at DC: Vertigo, Absolute, and Black Label. It's honestly amazing sometimes that I get to do this job at this level; thank you, sincerely, to everyone who makes it possible. Hope you love these!

This is the economic order that produces the "working homeless."

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.
During freezing temperatures in Port Arthur, Texas, a 61-year-old homeless man was found dead in his wheelchair outside a convenience store.

He was wearing a hospital gown and no shoes. Authorities say he had been released from a hospital the previous day.

This is a diseased society.
