an arkansas expat in the U.K., somehow tricked in to being a QPR fan
had some difficulty getting blood sugar down, and had some ketones. luckily caught it in time (had flu + reax to yellow fever vax), but now, I am relegated to drinking shitloads of water and not leaving the couch/bed the next couple days.

ok so I just finished Flesh, which kept getting amazing reviews and won the booker prize and…
it wasn’t very good? erratic writing style, felt poorly executed, altogether very strange. Maybe I just didn’t get it? feels a bit like A Little Life to me in terms of fanfare it’s getting

started the new year drunk on Copacabana beach with maroongal. Both of us got title promotions this year. Ending the year in a new house (still renting but should be able to buy it in 2-3 years and in a neighborhood we love), with a baby on the way

I realise grocery delivery apps like uber eats are terrible habits both financially and ethically, but having just discovered that the yeast in my pantry is no longer alive, I am, in this moment, glad they exist

bought a slab of smoked salmon at Costco, thinking it would be a nice addition to my cinnamon rolls/bacon/eggs/sausages breakfast on Christmas Day (and it was half price)
