UCP reported planning to vote on publicly acknowledging separatist program – but not until after separation referendum!  - Alberta Politics
A headline in Friday’s Calgary Herald asks: “Is the UCP still a pro-Canada party?” That’s one of those questions that, if you have to ask it, you already know the answer. Maybe you don’t want to belie...

This week's Unpacked from @nickjcal.bsky.social rants about the perilous road we're heading down with things like Project Genie.

TRIGGER WARNING, because here is a US Marshal from Trump‘s Gestapo Force in Memphis kicking a puppy today in the Whitehaven neighborhood and breaking its rib. They were serving a warrant and I guess BIG MAN got scared of the schnauzer.

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

1) This is blatantly unconstitutional
2) Withholding funding from which judicial appointments? Provincial? Because federally-appointed judges get paid from the federal budget. That's why new judicial spots end up in federal budget bills
3) Withholding any funding will make the justice system worse
Danielle Smith wrote to Mark Carney demanding her say in the appointment of federal judges...

And also threatening that if she doesn't get a say, she will withhold funding for new judicial appointments.

Because crime and justice or something.

Are UCP MLAs proud Albertans and proud Canadians? Or are they separatists? Their silence speaks volumes.
