I think witnessing Brexit as both insider & outsider had a profound effect on Mark Carney. His resolve in the face of the next stage of the attempted destabilisation of the West might even be described as a ‘Brexit benefit’!

comments about NATO forces in Afghanistan.
(There is some tumbleweed where Nigel Farage’s condemnation should have been.)

The pardon for Hernandez makes an obvious & absolute mockery of each & every attempt to rationalise, or even justify, Trump's treatment of Maduro. I'm not sure this single, simple point can be stressed enough. Once again, he proves his critics right & reduces his supporters to epic moral corruption.

Welcome to 2026. Where the world order as we knew it seems to be over. What next? Taiwan? Greenland? Balkans?

The U.K. must double down on its relationship with the EU. For it is Europe alone that is now leader of the free world.

Not all leaders are the same - and it matters who sits at the top so a big screw you to the people who elected Trump and the people who are still saying that Harris would have been just as bad.

We need a new generation of leaders who are the voices of democracy, freedom, social justice, & the rule of law.

A new generation that renews the “we” in “we the people.”

Instead of fretting over Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Party should embrace him as part of its future.
