More than 288,000 families are living without the minimum requirements for survival. Officials say Gaza needs 300,000 tents and mobile homes, yet Israel continues to block all major crossings, delay the ceasefire terms, and refuse to implement the humanitarian protocol it signed. ▪️ Shelter supplies still banned: tents, tarps, waterproof sheeting, heating devices, thermal insulation, flooring, blankets, sanitation units, and basic power sources. ▪️ What is causing: Entire encampments turned into mud, children and elderly exposed to cold, and no safe shelter anywhere. Gaza authorities say this is a deliberate deepening of the humanitarian disaster — “new forms of genocide” through deprivation and exposure. They call on President Trump and all mediators to force Israel to comply with the ceasefire and open the crossings for shelter materials immediately. In a Facebook post, he described detainees “forced to lie on the floor with faces to the wall, 24 hours a day without light, bedding, or toilets.” Marmarelli said one client “gets a broomstick up his ass every time he has a lawyer visit.” After he filed complaints, Israel’s Prison Service retaliated — submitting a grievance to the Israeli Bar Association accusing him of “incitement.” He says the courts refuse to investigate, while prisoners held in “torture camps” have no way to submit appeals. B.M. @ireallyhateyou Same lawyer writes yesterday: "I saw with my own eyes signs of rape and violence. I saw prisoners walking with pain in their rears, and I saw boot marks on my client’s back. I saw bruises and marks from handcuffs cutting off blood circulation in their legs and hands. I myself saw prisoners being led shackled and blindfolded. I saw it with my own eyes. The journalists aren’t interested in publishing about rape and violence by prison guards. Josh Breiner [Haaretz criminal correspondent] isn’t interested. The judge said she wouldn’t discuss it, and both of them asked why the prisoner didn’t file a complaint. Can you imagine a security prisoner filing a complaint? Do you think they have an anonymous complaint box like criminal prisoners do? They’re locked up 24 hours a day in a room without a mattress and without a yard, and when food is brought in, they have to lie on the floor with their faces down. When they’re moved from place to place, they’re blindfolded. Even if they had the option to file a complaint (and they don’t), they would immediately be beaten and raped in response."

I remember from the Bosnian war/genocide that many Serbian ‘fighters’ were weekenders from Serbia proper who’d return with TVs etc. looted from Bosnian homes. I didn’t know that Italian ‘sniper tourists’ were in on the act.
