Norman font at St.Peter’s, Bromyard in the county of Hereford. Love the contrast between the fluid forms and the geometric shapes below. The church has many fine early features although the Victorians have been at it. #FontsOnFriday.

It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑
Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.
We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

The Parish Church of St. Peter Cound is wonderful for many reasons. It is home to this rather wonderful tub font, which is believed to be 12th century in origin. The font is tub-shaped and carved with rosettes and foliage. It is still used for Christenings.
