We're being inventive with our book distribution. The inevitable happened, our book, Man Alone is no longer distributed through the smaller bookstore circuit. We've arranged for the last copies to be at a 2nd hand bookstore. Go to Fully Booked 824 High Street, Thornbury. Get it cheap; and it's new.
We need to free ourselves from the old institutions that stifle the arts. Here we go, free of the past.

Those Overthinkers have hosted another great hour. Sarah Lubrano, who I wish spoke more slowly, is a great guest, her research on political and social engagement is enlightening.

Why wasn't the second yellow - ie red card - part of the original VAR guidelines. second yellow and red card, same thing. A serious lack of clarity. Goalkicks 8 seconds. BUT VAR 10 minutes. Football may become a snoozefest.

Looking at the Adelaide Festival Board and wondering what all this skill with governance and business and whatnot is in aid of if there is nothing to govern and no business coming from it. Oh, well, there's always next year, eh.

Perhaps I could ask the family if we should host something artsy for our International guests. it's inhospitable not to offer.
Look at those international names. Another cultural institution commits suicide.
Writers withdrawing from Adelaide now also includes Helen Garner, Chloe Hooper and Sarah Krasnostein, according to Artshub. Also internationals Percival Everett and Vincenzo Latronico.

The first time Charlie Chaplin spoke onscreen, he implored the people of the world to resist the rising tide of fascism.

Nearly 90 years later, it remains a timely message.

I'm confused. Rosenior cites Wayne Rooney as a management influence. I guess, there are good bad examples. Good luck to anyone who walks into Billionaire Bridge.

He holds Wayne Rooney as a key influence, but are stints at Derby, Hull and Strasbourg enough preparation for the hot seat at Stamford Bridge?

The lovely people at Fully Booked 2nd books in Thornbury found one of Masterthief's early productions back in 1989, The Harbour Breathes featuring prose and poetry by Anna Couani and mind bending photomontage by Peter Lyssiotis. The imagery takes us deep into surreal landscapes of our own making.

Tsundoko. What a relief! The Japanese have a word that affirms the collection of books. Apparently, it's a beautiful thing in the mind. Onwards and upwards with book stacks.

Oh, good. We now have something to protest about. Anti-protest laws. The kind of laws that protect no one because the protests are not the cause of the problem.

Cancelled subscription to The Age. The Bondi killing coverage was appalling and amplified the divisions globally and in this country. Chip Le Grande needs to be in the hall of infamy for ‘journalists’ such a divisive political animal. We need better democratic institutions. The Age failed us.

Great Explanation of Hannah Arendt's view on friendship and how it relates to dark times, and how it must be sustained. Compassion helps. The value of relationships helps too.
