I recently visited an ICE detention center with @ravenreveals.bsky.social just outside of Chicago. Kidnapping people off the streets isn’t keeping us any more safe.

JUST IN: Harvard won summary judgment against the Trump administration with the court finding that the admin violated Harvard's 1st amend. rights. The court has vacated the funding freeze orders and termination letters and issued a permanent injunction.

2/2 for ICE has fueled an anger against the Other that has always been simmering under the lid of American politics. There is a real deficit in empathy and compassion that I cannot comprehend. How do we teach kindness to people who think that they are *already* kind?
I don’t know how the USA normalized crazy in less than two years. The way the whole system just crumbled is amazing for outsiders to see, but ultimately makes sense when you have Americans come to visit (as I did, fairly recently). The entitlement, the rage, and the rationalization of the need 1/2

This week's work is now finished. Creating something new is really hard work. This week in particular, I had many different experiences. Right now, I feel like a traveler. I am stepping into an unknown world before my eyes. I can only pray that someday I will find the light I am aiming for ahead.

Ghislaine Maxwell is not a U.S. citizen. She was born in France and holds British citizenship. Maxwell has lived in the U.S. for many years.
She got due process, but brown ladies selling fruit do not have that luxury.
