Trump is giving a real Igor energy. “What hump?”
Master and slave. The body language clearly shows which is which.

Save for Chomsky, Dawkins, Fukuyama, Habermas, Žižek, Amartya Sen and a handful of others, that age is largely gone.

Most of that fault lies with the academic disdain for grand theory and holistic thinking. The academy wants compartmented hyper-specialists bc they can be monetized.
I wish America still had such a thing as public intellectuals

Let’s be clear. If Trump weren’t propped up by daddy’s money, he wouldn’t be allowed to live independently. He wouldn’t have control over his own finances or life decisions. This is what unchecked privilege and wealth does to society. The Idiot Who Would Be King.
Meiselas: If Trump was just some crappy, scummy billionaire who lived in Florida, do you think I'd give a crap? My issue is this freaking loser, this con artist, this grifter, this scammer has brought his life of scamming, bankrupting and destroying to the American people, who are now suffering.

This is typical corporate greed but it misses the broader point that it’s a business model predicated on suffering and death. I’ll bet the vast majority of you have never been in a poultry plant or a commercial chicken house. I have. If you had to see, hear, and smell it, you’d think twice.
Tyson is closing a Nebraska plant that employs 3,200 workers in order to “right-size” its business.

The meatpacking giant paid its CEO $22.7M last year, 525x its median employee's pay.

It also spent $196M in stock buybacks to reward shareholders.

Textbook corporate greed.

This would be a good time to acquaint yourself with the term “interlocking directorate” if you aren’t familiar.

I also note that most of the clowns in this report don’t have the life experience or perspective necessary to run a hot dog cart.

I tend to disagree. Buchanan was inept and ineffectual. Trump is demonstrably evil and purposefully destructive.
Besides James Buchanan, Donald Trump is the WORST president in the history of the United States.

This should come as no surprise. I’ve long held that FB prompts a plethora of negative emotions, encourages siloing of thought, reduces attention span, and heightens consumerism. Disguised as a social interaction site, it is more properly a data aggregation service and social control mechanism.
Meta halted internal research that purportedly showed (young) people who stopped using Facebook became less depressed and anxious, according to an unredacted legal filing released on Friday. www.cnbc.com/2025/11/23/m...

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now.

I’ve watched as corporations and the super-rich flooded D.C. with campaign cash and ransacked our system.

It won't be easy, but here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people.

Has anyone taken these names and put them through a communication network analysis (like #NodeXL ) to see how all these people are interconnected - besides Epstein?

I’m not saying we should ignore his posts, but we must consider EVERYTHING Trump says through this filter: He is a dementing psychopath with an IQ around 80.

Once you understand that, you can stop being surprised or shocked and focus on the work of destroying all he represents.
Ohhh… he really will never stop peddling dangerous rhetoric.

One more artifact of the fossil fuel industry’s purchase of the US government. End Citizens United, ban stock trading by Congress, enact limits on all campaign contributions.

Blackburn is what you get when you mix greed, ignorance, and self-righteousness.
Republicans move to stop solar panels being by farmers & ranchers on their land which improves production & cuts costs. Take note they are not stopping data centers & fossil fuel plants adjacent plants. Bankrupt the farmers/ranchers. Buy their land cheap. Destroy it

These are excellent suggestions. Stock buybacks used to be illegal - with good reason.
Air Travel could be significantly improved by the FAA stipulating three things:

* One free checked bag for all customers

* Minimum legroom set at Comfort/Premium Economy standard (which was the old pre-9/11 standard legroom)

* Disallowing stock buybacks for airlines

Every flight instantly better

I'm looking at recipes online, for #Thanksgiving.

Unwanted: 1. The annals of time as told through your grandmother's blueberry scone recipe; 2. Scavenger hunt containing 417 popups; Iffy measurements.

Wanted: 1. Ingredient list 2. Clear instructions 3. Photo 4. Max 2 paragraphs of myth & legend.

Tell me again why we should allow billionaires to exist. Wealth hoarding ensures a need to fund basic humanity by begging. Forced redistribution of their wealth is the only way. Call it taxes or whatever but do it.

I’ve said this for a decade. When you can satisfactorily define and distinguish between Marxism, Communism, and Socialism, then you can use them as a slur. If you can’t, you need to shut the hell up.
would really love it if our elected officials had to publicly define socialism and then explain why they voted against it
