Spoken like someone who has absolutely no idea how science works. If it were a valid hypothesis (it isn’t) we’d do the research to assess the strength and nature of the relationship - not to get “proof.” But a drug-addled, worm-eaten, nepo-moron wouldn’t know that. #Idiocracy

It’s often the fellow officers who provide the crucial evidence for the discipline/prosecution. If for no other reasons than self-preservation and reduced liability. Nobody wants to be associated with corrupt behavior - at least openly.

This is important. The majority of US police aren’t the bad actors you see in the news - because they don’t do ugly things that make the news. They want fairness and justice just as much as you do. They hate bad cops more than you because they get grouped in with them.

I have family that are former Portland police. They understand the necessity of good policing and prevented bad actors.

What ICE is doing is an embarrassment to “policing”. It is a shame weve gotten to this point. I will not vote for you unless you proudly denounce ICE and want to dismantle it.

In my experience, we do. I’ve seen a lot of cops get fired and routinely prosecuted for a range of boneheaded things. I’ve even helped in the investigations - and this place isn’t exactly a bastion of progressive thinking.

If I had done this as a local LEO, my termination would have been certain and my prosecution likely. You don’t get to just peg people with chemical rounds because you don’t like what they’re saying. This perceived entitlement to improper force must be stopped.

148 clinical trials have been impacted, with 138k patients due to be enrolled or already enrolled.

Once research stops, some won't pick up where they left off. Even when terminated funding was reinstated, things do not go back to normal.
