With the Manito Six in Spokane, we have proof of concept that stacked flats are viable to develop, give residents a wonderful quality of living, and fit nicely in established neighborhoods. Contact me about bringing stacked flat/middle housing to your neighborhood!
Good news, Seattle City Council isn't killing DADUs after all.

It is not going to be possible to unwind all the ill-conceived damage that this administration has senselessly inflicted through their petty insecurities.

Hegseth, we get it-you weren’t a Scout, could never be an Eagle, so now Scouting has to pay.

Maybe false alarm! The fix is in the works!
Seattle is killing off DADUs unless you have an alley!

Being able to build in the rear yard was how DADUs were possible. If you need a 15 foot setback most DADUs will not work!!!

Need a fix before the one seattle plan vote!

I just heard the same, that this provision will get fixed before it kills off DADUs
Hearing this is getting cleaned up when the council passes the final version of updated neighborhood residential zoning on December 16.

Next year Seattle will be doing long range planning for all the higher density areas—One Seattle Plan, Part Deux.
it's insane that seattle's zoning policy is effectively just 'rezone the areas renters already live ever other decade'

so instead of inducing walkable areas, we induce urban cannibalism and massive buildings that consume almost entire lot w/ little privacy

4 case studies in using zoning incentives to design viable stacked flats here in Seattle. Two are market, two are subsidized, two are rental, two are ownership. More pathways to success!

If you've tried and failed to follow what Seattle's new zoning might allow, I've got you. Here are 4 case studies showing some of the exciting ways new incentives line up with current demand and emerging household demographic trends, with a focus on stacked flats.

found this old Harrell clip and I wonder where did this earnest guy go?
The Harrell we have is detached, vindictive, entitled. When he went into politics, he had purpose.
now that’s he’s mayor whenever he’s involved he makes whatever it is worse.
His motivation now is stay mayor. Why? He can’t say
