Happy 45 anniversary of the Toronto bathhouse raids to all who celebrate.

Our current police chief was one of the officers behind the 2000 "Pussy Palace" lesbian bathhouse raid. History is not so old.
What were the Toronto bathhouse raids? City marks 45th anniversary of dark spot in its history
The raids on Feb. 5, 1981 were, at the time, the largest mass arrest in Toronto history. Police finally apologized in 2016.

Hey #yycBike community!
Put the Bike Hub on your list of places to visit and spread the word!

It’s amazing to have a community bike shop partnership like this in Calgary! 🤩
We're ready to share details. Bike Hub will be a DIY bike shop, with full-service repairs from @bathtubbikes.bsky.social It's a great partnership that allows us both to grow. YER is the charity, taking bike donations, BB is the retailer in a shared space. #yycbike

What the hell is wrong with fragile conservative men who get offended by disagreement and blame Trudeau for being divisive, but will put this kind of shit completely unprompted in basically a professional conversation?????

Donald Trump probably (!) won't order a military attack on Canada. But his administration is happy to interfere in our politics, and we have to respond accordingly: by thickening our informational borders and holding tech companies to account. #cdnpoli

Trumpism's war on the truth is coming to Canada. We need to be ready
The Trump administration has made it clear that it will use almost everything at its disposal in its broader war on the truth. If we're not careful here in Canada, we'll become one of its casualties.

Doesn't sound familiar at all 😄😭
This was a common issue with our fleet UAs at the courier company I worked for. Had to go out to bodge a fix one time for one of our riders when their cranks sheared off. At least one UA would be out of action each week (waiting for parts) with some kind of motor/drivetrain nonsense.

There are two reasons that Danielle Smith is pushing the separatist movement: to distract from the fact that in February the UCP will announce a $10B deficit and to turn the attention away from her rural base that their healthcare system is collapsing.
Danielle Smith says Alberta separatist movement is a "pressure release valve."

If you are looking for a major project that can involve lots of Canadian steel and energy how about abundant electric passenger rail?
Today I’m riding Via Rail’s Canadian, stopping in Jasper on my way to #Toronto. Sleepers fully booked—in winter.

Rural bus service is disappearing in Canada. At same time, huge demand for passenger rail.

I write about North America’s rail revival here:
