It was a beautiful morning to ride up to the medicine wheel in Nosehill park & reflect on what Indigenous peoples have dealt w/ & what they’ve lost. I took a moment to offer mums, read a poem by Poet Laureate Louise B Halfe & a short prayer. Then it was time to head home. #TruthandReconcilliation

Several people gathered in a sunny park. They hold cups of coffee and are dressed in layers, having taken this pause from the weekly grind to come together for the weekly ritual of coffee and conversation, ending the week by a different rhythm.

Built into cycling almost as an automatic thing is the joy & fun it brings to the soul, the sense of community connection all while also making you healthier without even being obnoxious about it. It doesn't address road design issues, but if we're going to educate road users, we should include drivers.

Hey. Can someone get government to pass a law that states only speed-limited pedal assist ebikes are permitted on MUPs? No ebike should have a throttle. If they do they should b on the road. Only exception would b those w/ mobility issues or limitations. Plus police enforcement would help. #yycbike

I agree with you. Road design & harsh penalties directed at drivers who are at fault would change things dramatically. But until that happens, being defensive & assuming everyone in a vehicle is not paying attention is the next best thing… sadly.
