Often, Medicaid reimbursements to Drs. are much lower than Medicare or other insurance providers. This means that a number of Drs can’t afford to take Medicaid. Lots of factors to consider!

Anyway, I don't really know whether it would cost more or less to put all ACA exchange enrollees on Medicaid instead; there's a lot of dynamics at play, and of course suddenly adding ~24M more to the Medicaid roles would have a ripple effect in the healthcare economy.

But it's worth exploring!
