Thread. I particularly want to put a spotlight on David's point that measuring the success of a site on its (direct) political impact is reductive. Bluesky has a critical mass of artists and creators and a lot of very good things, for individual creators and for the culture, could come from that.
I've been thinking a lot about books and Bluesky. When I came here in summer 23, I thought this might end up being THE social media platform for people who make and want words, art, crafts, and more. I'd bet that the first Bluesky best-seller will come next year.
