Facts:
Extending the TADs will increase taxes to make up for the diversion of revenue.
TADs are unaccountable slush funds.

I've argued against a 25-year extension of all the (already) 20+year-old tax increment financing districts (TADs) in Atlanta. Someone sent me an email from "Atlantans for Safety" arguing against my explanation for why extending the TADs is a bad idea. Their email & my responses are (next)...

Jesus Christ, Atlanta Police on a power trip today, blocking the marta bus I'm on from using the roundabout under I-85 and waving through cars instead.

That is not how traffic works, but I would not expect APD to know traffic rules or to be helpful towards society.

not the only factor here ofc, but we have so completely “othered” homeless people that there’s a ton of democrats who do not believe they could ever be homeless, even as trump actively crashes the economy, criminalizes being unhoused, and wrecks the nation’s safety nets
