12 years ago 368 died few km off #lampedusa. Since, 31,000 people more lost their life in our shared sea.
A project I dreamed to do so many times. It's beautiful that has been done.

Fellow archaeologists,

All other struggles seem futile if we fail to take a stand on this one. Our humanity is at stake here and now in Palestine.

The Archaeo-Sexism exhibition is on display at the EAA in Belgrade. It aims to break the silence surrounding sexual and sexist violence in archaeology. And the genocide and the violence committed in Gaza must also be denounced.

That is why we support the positions taken by the « Black Trowel Collective » and « Archaeology Against Apartheid and Genocide », as well as the call by the local Serbian organizing committee to stand up against censorship and for freedom of expression.

We remind EAA members that the Annual Business Meeting will be held on Friday at 6:45 p.m. It is imperative that you attend in order to make your voice heard within the EAA.

Collègues archéologues,

Toutes les autres luttes nous paraissent vaines si nous ne parvenons pas à prendre position sur celle-là. Notre humanité se joue ici et maintenant en Palestine.

L’exposition Archéo-Sexisme est présente à l’EAA à Belgrade. Elle vise à briser la loi du silence sur les Violences Sexuelles et Sexistes en archéologie. Et le génocide et les violences commises à Gaza doivent également être dénoncées.

C’est pourquoi nous soutenons les prises de positions du « Black Trowel Collective » et de « Archaeology Against Apartheid and Genocide », de même que l’appel du comité local serbe d’organisation à se dresser contre la censure et pour la liberté d’expression.

Nous rappelons aux membres de l’EAA que l’Annual Business Meeting se tient vendredi à 18h45. Il est impératif d’être présent·e·s pour faire entendre votre voix au sein de l’EAA.

Industry was introduced to the Chilean highlands to forcibly integrate Indigenous people into the nation. They were abandoned after the deindustrialisation of the 1990s and people were forced into urban centres, leaving a ruined landscape behind.
