happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.

1. In 2009 I wrote this. I argued that Peter Mandelson's department “functions as a fifth column within government, working for corporations to undermine democracy and the public interest.”
This thread explains what I saw, and reaches a startling conclusion.🧵

Gordon Brown is still one of the most evil politicians ever to exist in the UK. He’s literally a prohibitionist terrorist on a par with the Taliban(in relation to a supposed kind humane democracy). He ignored scientific advice, reversing drug laws using Prohibitionist terrorist machinations 😔

Kudos to Mayor Mamdani.

This is what economic justice looks like.

And it's a reminder of how we can fight corporate greed at the state and local level. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/01/mamdani-ice-delivery-workers-settlement-backpay-uber-gig-workers-million/

This is how Palantir gets its claws in, too. Poor Barnsley. And poor all of us, if this wrongheaded approach to “AI” is taken up in other towns and cities.
Interesting to see that Microsoft are _currently_ providing the services for free, and that the LA are saying they won't be paying for it.
What happens when the free period ends but these systems are embedded and to suddenly cut them off will be difficult?

Again, this is FALSE. Administrative warrants are NOT signed by an immigration judge (or any judge at all). They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves with no external oversight whatsoever.

Here is a blank sample warrant. Note who signs off on it; an "immigration officer."
