Finally completed the final Space Marine from the Leviathan box.
It's taken 6+months to pick up a paint brush after my mother's death. Finally started on an easy mini to ease back into it on Sunday. Now all I can think about is finishing this dude.

At 47, my 10th(?) reading of The Lord of the Rings hits harder. Frodo's pain is more relatable. Eowyn's survivor's guilt more understandable.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

I'm grateful to have contract work after being laid off last month, but the anxiety of not having a solid insurance plan outside of COBRA is frustrating.
I really need a job with benefits. At least I'm finally experiencing the harvest of the economy.
