It’s never lost on me that I was one of the lucky ones.

My assault was METICULOUSLY documented. I was believed from the get go by everyone in my chain of command and allowed & encouraged to get support.

It still took 6 years to get my Disability
Rating.

And I am one of the lucky ones.

This man is a hero & I will hear nothing against him. Most of these assholes spend their time telling infantry soldiers that their blown out knees & compressed spines aren't service related & everyone else that bowel cancer at 30 is from energy drinks not contaminated water.

Yeah, reading his earlier lawsuit documents & available medical records this was entirely predictable given a marginally functional medical system. Which explains why he was able to do it.

I keep begging ppl to take TBIs seriously, to make MH a priority before it spirals. This is why.

Southport, NC. A veteran pulled up to waterfront cafe on boat and opened fire with an assault rifle. 3 dead, multiple injured, and his story is…weird. Allegedly the LDS Michigan shooter is a right wing veteran as well.

HIPAA is probably one of the single most important pieces of health legislation we actually got right. Patient privacy & confidentiality SHOULD be sacrosanct and if I can’t even trust a nurse with that no fukn way would I trust her with so much as a tongue depressor.

There’s debate on whether she simply illegally accessed and passed on that info OR a more serious charge of drawing the blood for testing against the patient’s expressed permission- the former is a privacy violation, the latter is assault.

Possible jail time for a cop??? Insane behavior.

There’s bodycam video of a nurse giving BAC info to a cop despite the patient refusing and no warrant obtained.

She’s on the hook criminally and civilly now & is going to lose her job (definitely) & her license (probably) while the cop faces zero consequences.

Stop playing cop as a HCP.
