Alternatively I could retrain as something else but I've no clue what.

Picture a venn diagram where one side is an interesting and fulfilling occupation and the other is a shortage of qualified people.

No need to apologise. It came across as a compliment because I wanted to see how far I could push the idea of just using a long duration field recording.

Had to check the working file and there's only one element (the bass line) that uses a synth. All the rest is built from different ways to process the field recording.
