Here you go!!

I created a zap that pulls new Fathom transcripts > Creates action items > Finds the meeting database it’s associated with in Notion > Adds the action items to the page w/ the meeting recording link. You will need a premium Zapier account.

Fathom → OpenAI → Notion: Action Items
Anytime a new transcript is created in Fathom, Zapier runs an input with OpenAI that creates action items from the transcript. It then looks for the meeting page with the exact Zoom link and adds the ...

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa.

It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;)

It's so New York.

There is nothing redeemable about this country. A few pockets of noble resistance ribboned throughout, people trying to undo the damage it does or at least carve out lives for themselves that don't make them complicit...but on the whole we are violent, venal, dominating, greedy, and thoughtless.

I was kind of floored when one said it would only be like one or two decades people would have to endure job loss. Like what.

I can see that for sure. They did push back on the founders. I was thinking as I was listening how are they not being aggressive with these people lol.

We can hope! I just listened to today’s Hard Fork pod and they had founders on who want to replace all work with automation. They have a slightly rosey outcome of abundance - but I don’t see how we can trust those in power to actually allow their utopia to flourish.

I keep thinking about this New Yorker cartoon.

Here’s what I’ve learned from being in these types of meetings as a consultant:

1. Only ever work with ONE point of contact.

2. Never be in those types of meetings again.

It can 100% replace me. Not being prepared for this is not good.

Anyone who has ever worked in ops/systems knew this was going to end badly.

We’ve all worked with new bosses that come in and think they know better - that they can just fire people and get rid of things (that were there for a reason).

When we’ve known all along it’s always about processes.

Well I’m forever trying to rediscover Twitter re: 2008 etc. I have a feeling many of the people here are too. So I’ll give it a go.

This is propaganda. 😆
This week @meighanotoole.com asked Notion to stop adding " (1)", " (2)" to duplicated pages. It can be helpful to make it obvious to users that pages are distinct by adding numerical counters like this, so I don't think removing them is the right call. But it got me curious: how might we do both?

I’m going to be that person where I come on here and say I need to start posting and engaging here lol.

But I do. Threads is insufferable, FB is AI slop, scams, ads, and groups/people I do not follow. LinkedIn is surprisingly ok.
June 6, 2025 at 7:45 PM
It wasn’t me!! It was Alex! I just agreed after literally just duplicating 97 tasks 😆😆😆

I like the (1) for databases and pages, they’re helpful but they’re also hella inconsistent.

I mean, at least they’re saying how they’ve felt for FORTY PLUS YEARS out loud now. So, there’s that.

If you grew up here, you probably never would have been stoked about being American (guessing from the very little I know about you 🤗). We do a very good show of keeping up appearances. This situation has been a slow ground swell for years. It’s never been a great place for many of us.
