Big Tech AI is emerging as an existential threat. There IS a way to use it ethically but power and greed is not a good incentive for this powerful a technology

I haven’t posted for a bit, watching myriad horrors unfold as I evaluate the best way to use my voice, insights and talents to make a difference. I’ve found solace in deep, raw conversations IRL helping others deal with the existential stress of it all. From Vancouver this summer, a moment of joy.

Got it. I guess there is so much disinformation it can sometimes be easy to miss a joke.

There is a way to AI that I profoundly DON’T support—the big tech monopoly surveillance, extraction, and disempowering approach. But there IS a way to leverage this tech for good, in a decentralized, inclusive, transparent and empowering approach.

We’ll never know what could have been, but we do know they chose to believe him and not her, and now they are making up excuses for their votes that put us all in harm’s way.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

What we’re witnessing in LA is the slow motion Reichstag Fire.

This seems an excellent day to post a pic of the burning Reichstag in Berlin. Hitler blamed the 1933 fire on communists and used it as a pretext to suspend civil liberties and to allow the Nazis to peruse "ruthless confrontation" with German citizens.

Just watched. I know it’s a comedy but it felt like a documentary and the work journalists should be doing into the whacky theories of Thiel, Musk et al.
