There is a reason why Witkoff did not want any officials with the State Dept or anyone else present during his many meetings w/Putin - he didn’t want witnesses to his treasonous behavior. Highly unusual, but makes perfect sense when you consider that he only cared about Russia.

Vladimir Putin personally oversaw a resource heavy operation to influence and or recruit Peter Thiel over a period of over a decade. In the end, Putin deemed the operation a success. When Thiel was recruited, he became pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine in their conflict. And instantly, so did JD Vance.

Given the apparent turf war over Ukraine between JD Vance and Marco Rubio, maybe a good time to revisit my theory that JD was vetted differently (in 2022, but not again in 2024, and therefore possibly by Thiel) than Rubio (in 2024, a more traditional VP vetting).

What it's strange that everyone commenting on this seems to miss is that this obsession of Thiel is a direct response to Bostrom's argument that we should stop technology (AI) by building a global totalitarian state.

This is correct. But keep in mind that Vance is Peter Thiel's man, and FBI agents revealed that Thiel was the subject of a decade-long RIS influence or recruitment operation run by Putin himself which Putin thought highly successful.
