I know everyone wants to say Mamdani is a very charming man (he is) but I feel people might be leaving out the fact he is soon to have a gun to the head (in Trump's worldview) of his favourite city

This stuff is an international embarrassment and yet it is also the tip of the iceberg. It is the failure of the British state in action. As the perpetrators are unlikely to be significantly punished, it will happen a lot more in the coming years.
