There's stopped hourglasses, the weight of souls, biological immortality where cells don't age, there's the phoenix conundrum of death only resulting in rebirth with no memory, the list goes on and on
"but you're immortal you could do anything you want"
"why are you still working?"

or there's the even funnier one where someone's just old but refuses to die because "too much shit left to do"
or the one who's stumbled on the fountain of life and is on an eternal quest to find the fountain of death and the escapades that ensue.... only to finally reach the destination, think about the adventure giving purpose, and walking away decidng to not end it just yet

Watching all of the actual passion and direction stripped from a company for the sake of someone who read the Bezos methodology aches.

The camaraderie and spirit of this company is dead, and as the employees suffer, so does the care of our patients. It's like they're trying to ruin a nonprofit.

Growing up in edgy online circles and realizing that it was a self perpetuating cycle of people who will never grow is a weird experience — especially when you've moved on for 15 years and some people are still coasting in the same faux notoriety hole. It's a weird kind of melancholy.

It goes a lot of ways. Where there's commerce there will always be "users" on both the client and artist side.

Best balances I've found are when commissioners cook up kick ass ideas and negotiate cost with artists - while maintaining a mutual respect for each other's time, wallet, and space.
