So back then Frankenstein was popular in Japanese film, as a catch-all for man made monsters who’d grow to enormous size. And Willis Obrien pitched a King Kong vs Frankensteins monster movie to Beck, who behind his back took it to Toho as a Godzilla joint. So they shifted the lightning power to Kong

Our community-run art gallery flooded. Building management will get the space back into habitable condition, but we lost a bunch of stuff and we're closed for who knows how long.

We're a tiny volunteer org that spends like $20K a year, so a $3,000 emergency is a big problem. Please help us out:

Not sure whether to laugh or roll my eyes at this book written about some specific events in Chicago--the author refers to "Richard Devine" as if that was how he was known.

That man's professional name was Dick Devine.

I don't have cable so I'm running my own Twilight Zone marathon tonight. Up first is S1E1, "Where is everybody?"

It's the one where the protagonist runs down a set of stairs and full speed into a mirror.

And because I never before knew the episode title, I'm just now realizing the NIN reference.
