At a patron’s request, asked ChatGPT to cite a couple of well published researchers this morning. It was breathtakingly casual as it made up fake, BS citations. I corrected it, & it reacted by politely apologizing & making up more fake citations. I can’t imagine the scale of damage this is doing. 📚

If I could add something, I'd say that the more the selection process I went through was complex, the worst the job was when I got it and I end up regretting having it. So from what you say, it looks like you might have dodged a bullet. 🥺

Highlights

Fatiguing syndromes affect millions of patients in the United States and globally, but are grossly underserved in the clinic and in the contemplative design of basic research.

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is a complex multisystem metabolic-immune-inflammatory disorder. Although research on this condition is in its infancy, it appears to involve the immune system and central nervous system malfunction, with cellular oxidative stress as a predominant feature.

Approximately half of the cases of long-haul coronavirus disease 2019 meet the diagnostic criteria for ME/CFS, burgeoning the number of affected individuals.

Recent strides in neurobiology have yet to transfer the understanding of the neurodegenerative aspects, and potential for neuroprotection, of ME/CFS.

ME/CFS may represent a useful paradigm and research model for the study of the impact of sustained oxidative stress on the central nervous system and the body at large.

Right? I loved Dune prophecy, Agatha and all the other shows nominated in the categories but NO WAY there was as much innovation, inspiration and creation AT VOLUME that was utilised in #TheWheelofTime . I mean the Finn alone … c’mon 🙄

I find it hard to understand that you can have any interest in costume design and in good faith not recognize the work that has been done in #TheWheelofTime, especially for the 3rd season. #WOTskies

The fact that the 3rd season of #TheWheelofTime isn't more recognized by nominations and awards says a lot more about the industry and the people who vote than about the show. Some things are difficult to compare, but some are quite obvious - the costumes for instance. #WOTskies
