How out of touch is it to believe “smug white women” don’t know how to tell if a situation is escalating and may turn violent? That only guys can do this. EVERY woman in this country learned this skill at a young age. We constantly need to monitor the anger and threat levels of the men around us.

With everything going on in this country, it’s easy for me to become overwhelmed. I’m so thankful for Zelda, my “emotional support cat.” She senses when I’m upset, jumps into my lap, and touches her nose to mine. Then she purrs and waits for pets. We don’t deserve them. #HappyCaturday
