They’re getting desperate…
NBC News finds that:
-- ICE has shortened its training from 13 weeks to six.

As the intensity of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown has risen, residents of Chicago are increasingly pushing back. Federal agents repeatedly have been observed releasing smoke bombs, tear gas and pepper balls to disperse residents who gather or capture videos.

Residents have begun forming volunteer groups to monitor their neighborhoods for federal immigration agents. Others honk their horns or blow whistles when they see agents nearby.

Kudos to the residents of PDX for understanding the assignment and delivering the goods.

Their absurd protests robs the president of any and all of the optics that he craves in these occupations. His masked paramilitary meatheads look ridiculous standing next to a happy dancing inflatable frog.

This. Sadly, this.
To be clear:

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

Republicans are saying that these cuts will be reinvested into Medicaid for people who "deserve" it.

If that were true, the budget would stay the same. But that's not what's happening. Why?

Because down the hall, they are trying to finance tax breaks for billionaires.

It’s 2 am and we’re still marking up massive cuts to Medicaid.

While their constituents are asleep, Republicans are trying to take away health care from 13.7 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

They want you to tune out. Don’t ⬇️

Pete Buttigieg suggested he would “assess” a 2028 presidential run.

While visiting Iowa, he said in a live interview that he'd consider “what I bring to the table.”

One lesson from this is that it's worth pushing back.
Climate determines how, when, and where we grow crops — as well as how we allocate water, design infrastructure, plan for risk, and much more.

Climate info isn’t optional: it’s necessary. And when it’s changing so quickly, it’s even more vital. Without it, we're driving blindfolded into the future.
