It's weird, i should criticise this, but i remember us losing 5-3 against Leicester under LVG, and Utd produced some excellent attacking football, but because of how many we conceded, LVG went for the ultra caution approach after that, which was extreme boredom.
Thomas Frank showed he had learned his lesson from the north London derby by swapping the 5-4-1 formation for 4-2-2-2.
Despite losing to Paris Saint-Germain, his newfound attacking intent offers a blueprint going forward.

I know I said that I expect Arsenal to fall in the 2nd half of the season, but there seems to be something different this time. More defensive resolute and as a team as a whole and also showing that they are more than just a set piece team.

FIFA needed Lionel Messi at the Club World Cup last summer, so a tenuous way of ensuring Inter Miami qualified was found.
In the same way, a Ronaldo-less tournament next summer simply will not do.
