I'm not active on Twitter anymore, so I'm rebuilding the #migraine and #MigraineChat community here. A few ways to connect....

The original MigraineChat feed stopped working, so like and pin this one. It works the same.

"The Committee plans to consider further whether the terms “medication overuse” and “medication-overuse headache” are pejorative and if there are better terms to be used in the ICHD-4."

Do I need the 2lb tin of shortbread cookies from the wholesale club? No. Am I going to hope it's in stock and get it anyway? Probably, yes.

I'm justifying it by the deal it is versus buying the small packages at the local grocery store.

My phone occasionally makes collages of old photos and videos of my cat and I think I'll miss her forever.

If I were well enough to adopt, I still would worry that no other cat could live up to how special she was. 💔🌈

Today’s post is brought to you by my horrible neck & nerve pain, and is about the measurement bias we (almost) never bother to discuss in epi: measurement misspecification.

If you’ve been reading E is for Epi for a while, you probably know about my chronic neck pain. Today's post is inspired by the challenges of measuring pain.

If you very clearly have foods that trigger #migraine attacks, does the amount you eat matter? Like a bite vs a small serving vs a large serving?

I keep getting an Instagram ad for a "health anxiety coach" who says 2020 left us is a state of fear and now we're stuck with a dysregulated nervous system (or some buzzword salad) because we're afraid of getting sick.

Well, predictably, that trip to the hospital for the x-ray means I'm in a ton of pain. Bodies are a scam. Hugging two heating pads until bedtime.

My local hospital (10 mins away) does xrays and sends them to the larger, teaching hospital (1 hr away) for the radiologist to read.
Even though the two hospitals aren't affiliated, this still means results show up in both patient portals and doctors at both hospitals can see them.

Yes, I'm a bit of a bandwagon fan who only pays attention to the playoffs. I'm just realizing UVM mens' soccer games are no longer streamed free. I was looking forward to watching the AE Final match.
